ICAD 2015, Cards 5 and 6

Card 5 is a little abstract.  I drew from my journaling prompts box.
The three cards were:
Do a monochromatic theme
Use numbers
Make lines with side of a credit card.
This is what happened.

Card 6 is inspired by my love of Chai tea.
I stapled on a tea envelope and tag.
The cup I drew and colored with watercolor pencils.
The border is a Dylusions stamp.

Continuing on with Cards 3 & 4

This one is stamps, watercolor pencils, white Signo pen.
Acrylic paint wash for background.

Again, an acrylic wash background.  The map is an old, old stamp.
I shaded it with some colored pencils and distressed the edges of the card.

ICAD 2015

I was inspired by art videos to participate in

I like the challenge because the "rules" are
relaxed and running for only 2 months makes
it a doable option for me.

No stress, short time-line, and lots of
fun to be had!

"Fragrance"

This page is in my big art journal.
I really tried to loosen up with this one and
not try to be my usual perfectionist--
even getting my fingers into it!

I enjoyed this free-style method and will
certainly try it more often!

I love the quote:

"Nothing brings to life again a forgotten memory
like a fragrance"

~Christopher Poindexter

There are lots of smells that trigger memories for me.
What are some aromas that do that for you?

Thanks for watching the video:
