Elegance & Grace

While I enjoy the challenges I often participate in, I recently decided to step back and do my own creating for a while, because I just don't have time to do both. I wish I did. This has certainly cut down on my blog traffic, but it has been freeing artistically.

It looks like the girl is recessed in a niche. Very creative! I like how you added your signature musical note to this one!

I love the challenges, too, but it's always fun to take a little time for those "other" projects you've been putting off. (I can't tell you how many I've got waiting in the wings myself!) Nice job on this; I love the shape and the colors you chose. PS: Thanks for your comment about my "bad" ATCs! LOL

this is beautiful Lisa. I love the colours...for some reason they make me think of things edwardian !
I know what you mean about the challenges versus our own creations...we really need a 30 hour day !
We will all still keep popping by...you won't get rid of us that easily ...Lol!

I also enjoy the weekly challenges and for a time was doing about 3 per week while keeping up my journal and playing with paintings. Taking the Les Petite Dolls Class has slowed down my challenges and let learn a few tricks. I'll keep coming by your blog =) Change is good for the soul - so enjoy you own creativity!
Thanks for dropping by my blog. I appreciate the company. =)

Good for you! I can relate! Challenges are wonderful, but I've found that if they begin to replace work I'd do on my own, I have become an illustrator of other people's ideas, instead of a master of my own.

For me, the challenges are for fun, and a great way to communicate. I use them as prompts to stretch myself into categories I might not have thought of without them. But to replace my "heart's" work? NEVER!!

So good for you! And when you find yourself back in the mood for a challenge, please join us at This Thursday It's All About There are themes, but all are completely open to you own unique interpretation!! Above all, have FUN!! I really enjoy your blog, so I'll be by often!!
