Now boarding at Gate 7

The regular readers here (all 4 of you, bless your faithful hearts) will attest that this is a departure from my usual style.  I like this look when others do it, but  can never achieve 100% satisfaction when I attempt it.  I think maybe I stop just short of having 'enough' and it just ends up looking 'busy' instead of cohesive.  Any thoughts?

Interesting side note:  Each time I head out on one of these little artistic excursions, it tends to start with red or orange and it involves wings.  What's up with that?

Red is my favorite color so I'm attracted to this page. It is busy, but that just means there's more to look at.

I love your "regular" style, but this one is also very appealing. I love that is still looks feminine, interesting, and of course colerful! The red and orange work well together. I also love some crazy color combos like red and purple, and of course red and green, and red and pink.

Oh no, you just opened the door to my amateur psychoanalysis! I think the reason you probably gravitate toward red, orange and yellow when you venture out into new territory is because they are high energy colors. You are looking to boost the energy in your piece with details and subconsciously you also boost it with color or maybe consciously. What do you think? At any rate, I love it!

I really, really like this Lisa, I think it is wonderful you went outside your box and tried something new. I need to do that too, I seem to get stuck in the same state of art lately. This style of page usually is busy anyway, nothing wrong with that, I think it is awesome :)
