The word of the day

This is how it all started.....

a gnarly red crayon, leftover from a VBS craft,
snatched from the clutter and chaos
that is my art table at the moment.

Close at hand was an opened book, prepared with gesso,
awaiting who knows what.

Crayon, meet gesso.
I loved how the chaotic brush strokes popped out in relief.

By now you must be thinking.....
"Chaos.....what is coming?"

And if you know cats, you know chaos!

Don't let that innocent face fool you for one minute.

Look at that word too long and it starts creating
a little chaos with your head!

And yes... the word 'chaos' starts to look reeeally funky after a few times!

Don't you just love it when something like this happens? I'm going to have to try it!

I love everything about this one! I love the chaos, the red crayon, the red kitten! I never let those innocent faces fool me. I know those sneaky minds. Don't you just love crayons? I love how at Macaroni Grill they let you color on the table with crayons. I noticed there the other day, the crayon that used to be called 'red brick' is now called 'grilled red pepper' or something close to that. Times do change.
